about the site
Back in 2004 I was already a big fan of CSI:LV and when a co-worker told me there was going to be a New York spin off, I could hardly wait for the premiere. At the time I was living in Sweden and had desided not to bring my computer with me, so I had absolutely no idea about fansites and fandoms in general. I liked the first season of the show a lot, but it wasn't untill the second season, that I really fell in love with it. In 2005 I moved back to Denmark and had become the proud owner of my first domain (rutta.dk). One day I was looking for information about the show on the internet, but I couldn't really find what I was looking for. And that was when I desided to make this site. I had never coded a website before, so it took me forever to make the first layout, and as you can see on the 'past layouts' site, it wasn't as pretty as one could have hoped for :)
But despite the lame layout and my lack of coding-skills, the site was online and people actually started visiting the site. I got some great affiliates and got even more visitors. After about 6 months I made a new layout and moved all images on the site to a coppermine gallery. The gallery got bigger very fast and became the most visited part of CSI:NY Online.
In March 2007 I desided to add a forum to the site, but there was already so many CSI:NY forums on the internet and my thought was, that it would be hard to find fans who wasn't already on an existing forum. So I started looking through all the forums out there, trying to find a forum-owner who would team up with me and become a part of my site. The forum I liked the best was owned by a girl from Canada, Indy, and I left her a message with my idea. She said yes and shortly after CSI:NY Online had a forum and Indy's forum had a fansite. Since then Indy has become a co-webby on the site and we now run it together.
I don't have as much time for the site as I used to and it shows in the lack of updates. But I still love the show and I love the people I have gotten to know through the fandom. Vicky and Indy do such a great job in the forum and on the site, and some visitors has been supporting this site for a long time. I appreciate that so much. The show is now running on season 5 and I hope for a lot more. I also hope new fans of the show will keep coming here for information on our favorite show and help keep the site alive.
